Email Client For Mac Sparrow Original author(s) First Apple Mail, and then Sparrow, which was smart, minimalistic, and worked perfectly with my Gmail account. After switching to Mac I continued to use Gmail, but as I was working from home I started experimenting with email clients again. Macworld took a preliminary look at a beta. Sparrow is a new kind of minimal e-mail client that decidedly shirks the complexity found in its more traditional competitors like Mail and Postbox. The first point update added support for Gmail labels, priority inbox and keyboard shortcuts. Sparrow set out to put things in order and with the latest update it has moved closer to replacing Mailplane as the default mail client on my Mac. While we can’t say that Notify is a full bore email client, it does a great job of notifying you of and allowing you to preview emails and with its pro features allows you to delete, file them, or respond to them as well. It isn’t cheap ($119), but Outlook for Mac is a great email tool that can definitely replace Sparrow on your Mac.
